In Print: Some Thoughts on Finitude and Possibility
12-page zine contemplating print(mak)ing’s mediating qualities and the nature of risography, in collaboration with Aurora Brush of Cosmic Dog House Press.
Relief printing, collage, risograph printing / InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Spectrolite | Spring 2023
8.5 x 5.5 in., edition of 50
︎
I collaborated with Aurora on this zine in my final semester at Vassar, as part of an independent study exploring printmaking and community.
Through conversation and writing exchanges, we used reproduced prints, questions & answers, and analog & digital techniques to reflect on the limits and potentialities of printing / printmaking / risograph printing. In many ways, the pages of this zine are the processes that made it—full of play, experimentation, and incompleteness.
We used four colors (fluorescent pink, teal, lime, and black; varies by page) and printed this zine on cardstock and copy paper, with gracious support from Nick.
